For the first time, Asetrad is hosting an annual meeting of FIT Europe, the Regional Centre in Europe of the International Federation of Translators (FIT). Translators and interpreters from across Europe will gather at Matadero on November 20 and 21. It is a unique opportunity to meet colleagues from other associations and to network.
On November 20, in the Casa del Lector auditorium at Matadero, the FIT for Future training sessions will take place, featuring Fiona Gray, Aida Ramos, Diana Gordaliza, Elena Álvarez, and Francesca Matteoda as distinguished speakers. Each of them, in their respective fields of expertise, will provide insights to help us understand and better prepare ourselves – both physically and mentally – for the professional future that lies ahead. All the sessions will be in English with interpreting into Spanish. The lunch and coffee break are included in the registration fee.

On November 21 at 10:00, a closed-door meeting of delegates of FIT Europe Member Associations will be held at Aula 9 (Matadero). During this meeting, topics affecting the future of the profession, as well as the Regional Centre and the Federation, will be discussed.
On November 22 at 11:00, the delegates of FIT Europe Member Associations will take a guided tour of the Prado Museum, one of the world’s finest art museums. The guided tour costs EUR 38 (tickets included).
